Back in the Saddle!

Well I am back into the iPhone coding saddle in the last week or so and I am enjoying it again. It’s different to my day job so makes things a little more interesting.

I am currently developing Credit Tracker 2.0 which I hope to be a good looking app as well as easy to use. I am taking my time to create a nice GUI etc.

I will be posting up some screen shots as I go and also a few tutorials on things I learn along the way.

I will keep you all posted :)

BumpTop: This looks very cool!

I am so impressed by this app, I remember a demo of something similar a few years back. Very impressed it is only $29USD aswell.

When you own domain names associated with the trademarks of a large company, more often than not, they’re going to file a complaint with the ICANN UDRP(Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy). And more often than not, they’re going to win control of the name. Such was the case yesterday with 16 names related to Apple that one man happened to own.

News: iPhone C64 emulator returns to the App Store

Ask Jack Tramiel and I’m sure he’ll tell you the Commodore 64 had more than its share of difficulties in getting to the market, and Manomio’s C64 emulator for the iPhone has certainly had its own share of difficulties. But just as we promised last week, C64 is now back on the App Store at £2.99, and this time for good.

Edit: Confusion over pricing from Twitter. 2.99GBP, 4.99USD and 5.99AUD

Back To Basics

I have started to draft up some “Back To Basics” iPhone tutorials, these will be text-based for the time being as I don’t have much spare time to record video tutorials at the moment.

These tutorials will cover the “Getting Started” basics of iPhone Development, starting off with handling views and wiring things up in Interface Builder and then moving on to more in depth one’s about Core Data etc.

Hopefully, they will be live soon :)

Tap Treats Halloween

The guys over at Barking Dog Creative have released another iPhone app using the 71squared.com sound engine.

Just wanted to let you know that we’ve released *another* iPhone app that benefitted from your tutorials. This time, it’s a Halloween-themed app called “Tap Treats Halloween”. Like “LetterWriter Oceans,” it took advantage of the audio code you put up on the blog.

So thanks again for the great blog.
