Pearl Diver

The game is called “Pearl Diver” and is part of the “Math Snacks” educational initiative to create engaging media for teaching troublesome math subjects to middle schoolers. You play a pearl diver diving for pearls amidst sunken ships and ancient ruins. Watch out for the electric eel!

While educational in intent, the game is fun in its own right, since it involves a bit of timing mixed with fast-thinking number line ordering. It ends up feeling like a mix between a puzzle game and an arcade game. It’s even got sushi-themed bonus levels.

Just wanted to let you know that we now have a third game up on the App Store.

Best of all, this one’s a freebie, since development was paid for by grants!

Anyway, thanks again for the great tutorials. They’re helping kids learn by helping us learn.
