Tutorial Movie Format?
Since we have been getting such great feedback on the tutorials and info we are posting to the blog, we want to make sure that we are meeting peoples needs. To that end we have created a small Poll which you will find at the bottom right under the Tag Cloud.
At present we are creating all of our tutorials in hi-res using the Quicktime format. We have noticed that many other tutorial web sites use FLV, so, we decided to see what people would prefer.
Also, we wanted to see if people used full screen much or if they preferred watching the tutorial in a window.
We look forward to your feedback :o)
Thanks
Mike

The way I use these (fantastic, by the way) tutorials is to have them open full screen on one monitor with Xcode open on a second, so I’m all for the continued posting of the higher resolution MOV files. Though if the extra effort required to also embed them as FLVs isn’t too much, there’s really no downside to doing that in addition.

With MOV you can just subscribe to the RSS feed with iTunes and let it download the tutorials automatically. Just enter “http://feeds2.feedburner.com/71squared” into the “Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast” and let it rip. I don’t think that’d work with FLV.

Thanks for that tip darrel.

I’d say FLV, embedded in the webpage, with an option to download which gets a high rez quicktime. The tutorials are great btw.
