What country is this…
As you will know from my previous posts I’m out and about this week. I’m currently sat in a hotel room in Abu Dhabi having flown in this evening from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Getting into the UAE is SOOO much easier than getting into Saudi Arabia.
I don’t want to complain, but I will :o) I spent TWO hours at passport control in Riyadh. It was a complete and utter nightmare. People everywhere, no one really seeming to know what was going on and a new computer system which was obviously not speeding things up. Then, the chap who was dealing with my queue gets up mid way through processing someone and wonders off, leaving the poor chap with his hand on the fingerprint machine for 20 minutes. It was not this bad when I was last in Riyadh a few weeks back….
You just had to laugh really, it was not funny, but there was nothing else to do. In contrast, I was off the plane and into a cab in a little under 12 minutes in the UAE :o) which is much more like it.
So, I’m just getting some slides ready for tomorrow and then I’m going to turn in. Its already 23:52 here so I need to get some sleep.
If you are still reading, thanks for hanging in there. I feel much better for having got that out of my system and I’ll be glad when I’m back in the UK and can get the next tutorial sorted on the tilemap class :oD
