Particle/Glyph Designer + Lion
As you will know OS X Lion is soon to be with us and we have therefore been testing both Particle Designer and Glyph Designer on the GM version to make sure things are working OK.
The good news is that Particle Designer works great on Lion so when you upgrade you’ll be able to continue using your favourite Particle design tool without interruption.
The bad news is that we have found what we actually think is an Apple bug that causes Glyph Designer to crash on startup. While investigating this we have actually found that the same problem exists under Snow Leopard as well although it rarely shows itself.
We have identified a fix for Glyph Designer that we hope to be getting out in the next couple of days that will resolve the problem while we work with Apple to get to the bottom of the original problem.
If you are already using Lion and finding that Glyph Designer is not working, the next update to Glyph Designer should resolve those problems and get you running again.
We also have a new release for Glyph Designer that updates some features and continues to improve performance and usability. We will release this once Lion is out.
