Particle Designer Updates?
I wanted to see if people who have downloaded 1.1.40 of Particle Designer are being alerted automatically to the new version that was put up 1.1.41. When running the app you should have been told this version was available for download.
If not, can you try the Check For Updates menu option and let me know if the manual update is working and if you got the auto update notices.
A new version will be posted in the next hour which some small GUI changes, a randomize button and a few bug fixes.

Ha, nice spot, I’ll get that fixed before I push out the next version.

Hi Mike,
It works fine. The first time it asks if it should check automatically. Upon saying yes, it checks and downloads the new version, installs and relaunches. The new version shows up. That looping is a nice feature.
I also checked for new updates and it said I was up to date, obviously. All is good.

Question? IS the particle emitter the same as in the book?

Just spotted this on the feedback screen: the link http://www.71Squared.co.uk leads to a July 5, 2008 post of two guys congratulating themselves on doing such a great job on this app. :D

Ok, so that is embarrassing :) that as you can see was some testing of the feedback mechanism. I’ve removed the old posts and I’m fixing the link.
Let’s pretend we didn’t see those messages shall well ;)
