Apologies
I wanted to apologise for the fact that the Joystick tutorial has not yet been posted. I know there are plenty of people who responded when I asked if you wanted to see a tutorial for a joystick and I’m now passed the date I set to get that tutorial finished.
I could start going on about how busy I am, all the travel I’ve done, but if I set a deadline I should have hit it. The tutorial has been started and I am working on it, so its not gone away. As I hate breaking deadlines I’m not going to set one at the moment apart from saying I’m going to get it done as soon as possible.
Thanks for hanging in there as I know its frustrating when your waiting for something to be completed.
Mike

Mike,
What are you apologising for? You are doing us all a great service in the offering of these tutorials. They are free, very well executed, and from a knowledgeable source. These things very rarely come for free, and what you are doing is brilliant.
On a lighter note .. Did you enjoy your time down under? How was it all?

Thanks for the notice. I’m really looking forward to the tutorial.

I can completely sympathise with Mike as I also mentioned some “Back To Basic” tutorials which I am still working on but also in the process of moving house, so will be without internet for a short period :( I hope to get the first tutorial up before I disappear.
Mike, you have a lot on your plate at the moment and have only been home for about 3 days in the last month, I think people will understand the pressure you are under, what with the book aswell. As CC said, quality is what everybody wants and quality they will get :)
John.

All of us have things to do other than developing iPhone games. ;) So do not worry, we certainly understand and appreciate your work. I think Doug and cutemachine expressed it very well: you do not have to apologize, and we appreciate you keeping us posted. ;)

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It is this attitude that makes me want to keep adding to the community.
Thanks again and watch this space :o)

Just as Doug said, there’s no need for apologies, you are doing this in your spare time, like the big companies said, it’s done when it’s done ;)

Really, Mike! Apologizing?!! I am very thankful for the knowledge you are sharing. I know that it took many hours of research to learn and to present it in an easy-to-understand manner. I recently learned about the release date of your book, spring 2010, and am anxiously waiting.
As for missing deadlines, we’re all programmers here… ;o)
Cheers

LOL! Tony, like the programmers deadline comment, very true indeed ;)

Well Mike,
That’s just not on, we all log onto your site and expect things to happen… Only kidding :)
While I’d really like to see your tutorial (as I think it’d really help me in the final stages of my app lol) You are clearly a busy man, so no worries and I, like the rest of your visitor will be happy to wait. After all, I only found your tutorials two months ago so was spoilt when I found 10 already for me to view :). Guess it’s pay back time lol

Hi Mike,
how’s the tutorial coming?

Take your time. Quality is always preferable to slapdash work.
