I’m going to be presenting for 20-30 minutes on creating an iPhone game using OpenGL ES. I’m really looking forward to meeting the group members as its the first time I will have been able to get to a meet since joining the group.

Awesome, Mike! I would enjoy being there, but there’s no bus from Montreal to Regents Street. :D

Will you be recording the presentation and posting it? I’m sure it will be interesting. Congrats!

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your OpenGL ES tutorials, I quite enjoy them. I finally got a overall idea of iPhone games dev thanks to these tutorials.

My company is quite near to Regent’s street, it will take me about 5 mins walk to go there ;-) Could you tell me how to join this group please?

Thanks!

Tony has a great idea there. I’d love to see it even if it’s a summary of the video series. I haven’t started developing but I’m getting my MacMini next week and already downloaded all of you awesome tutorials! :D

No plans for that at the moment, but I’ll see what I can do :o)

No filming is allowed in the Apple Store so I will not be able to record the presentation.

That sounds great! I’d like to attend, can I just pop in on the day? How can I join the group please?

@Kingbombs, that is a shame, but I’m sure there will be other chances :o)

@Aeldron, you can just pop in on the day as the presentation will be given in the first floor education area. The group itself is hosted on LinkedIn and can be found at http://www.linkedin.com/groups.....nh_1798655

Hopefully see you there.

I’m stuck with Tony on this one. There isn’t a bus from Montreal to Regents Street, London. :(

I do get to Toronto and Ottawa through work quite often, but not Montreal :o(

Would love to come over to Regents street to see the talk and meet you. The kids will still be on holiday and my wife has a great deal of work on… so time is a precious… I’ll try my best to get there :-)

Hi mplaczek and thanks for the comment. I had a LOT of fun doing the presentation. It was great to hear the questions for people and the interest there obviously was in the subject.

I am hoping to get back soon and present in more detail now on specific aspects now I’ve done an overview.

I’m going to be in Australia during the next meeting so won’t be able to make it, but I’ll ben at the November meet so look forward to hopefully seeing you there.

Yes, the presentation was great!

I’m programming a small 2D game to practice Objective-C and iPhone.

You gave me some excellent hints about the bits and pieces I still need to learn.

Thank you!

@Aeldron, that’s great and good luck with your project :O)
