A great resource
I thought I would put a link to some of the resources I use.
You may have already come across this website in your travels, but its a resource I’ve been reading for a long time and just recently asked questions on. I’ve found the advice to be quick, clear and appropriate and its helped me no end.
I would certainly recommend spending some time walking around their forums, they even have one specifically about writing games on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Another resource I read covers game development and design. I like that they cover topics in a concise manner and that it discusses key topics which are needed in game design. For anyone starting out its a great place to read up on the theory of how things could be done and see code examples as well.
My last site is a real treasure trove of information. Lost Garden has tons of interesting articles to read as well as game designs they put into the public domain to get devs to them prototype them to see how they get on. They provide great detail on the game design and concept as well as some excellent art resources for the games as well. Well worth even more of your time to check it out.
