Life Changing!

Well, over the last 9 weeks or so my fianceé and I have been on a similar diet to Mike although ours was made by Cambridge Diet (AUS - www.cambridge-diet.com.au) (UK - www.cambridge-diet.com).  Basically it is a complete meal replacement system to start with until you reach your goal weight.

At the start of the diet I was hovering around the 90kg (198.4lbs) mark and not entirely happy about it.  The diet consisted of replacing our daily meals with either a shake, soup or chocolate bar, 4 times a day.  The beauty of this system is that you don’t have to worry about what food you can or can’t eat etc.  The calorie intake for the day would be around 500, so alot less than what I was eating on my normal food.

After a few days the body would go into ketosis which means that instead of the body getting its energy from the food we eat, it gets it from our fat stores, therefore we burn fat. Marvelous ;)

I did find the plan very tough but worth every effort of will power because in the 9 weeks I have lost 14kg in weight and am hovering around 76kg (167.5lbs).

I joined our local gym this morning and setup a program which we will kick-off properly on Monday after work, so am looking forward to toning up the flabby bits :)

Just thought I would share my experiences on this diet and hopefully inspire other to do the same.  I am sure Mike will also share his tales of incredible weight loss and life changing experience.
