iPhone 3G
I am proud to say that I am a complete Apple fanboy. I converted to Apple almost 2 years ago and have not looked back.
I’ve managed to get an number of Apple gadgets at home
- 24″ iMac 2.16Ghz 250Gb HDD
- 15″ Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz 160Gb HDD
- Apple TV
- Airport Extreme
- 3 x 4th Gen iPod Nanos
- iPod Photo
My next purchase will I am sure be the iPhone 3G. I fell in love with the iPhone, but really wanted it to have 3G before I took the plunge. Given that the new iPhone is now coming out on the 11th July I am certainly looking forward to it.
My main problem is that I have a mobile phone from work which I use for all my calls. This is with Vodafone and I therefore want to use this with the iPhone. So, as many others are as well, I’m going to need to crack the phone so that I can use it with my Vodafone SIM. The issue is that this time around, you will not be able to leave an Apple store or O2 shop without having registered the phone and signed up to a contract.
My wife would like to get a contract with O2, so my plan is to get an iPhone 3G on contract for my wife, swap out the SIM and have the iPhone for myself and crack it :-)
As and when I do, I’ll post how I did it.
Mike
